Since 1996, we have chosen to dedicate 1.2 hectares of our estate in Santa Lucia di Piave to the creation of a real forest. It is not just a green patch, but the beating heart of our corporate biodiversity. We have planted over a thousand trees of native species – including walnuts, beeches, ashes, and maples – studied to integrate perfectly with the local flora.
Today, after almost thirty years of care, this forest is a vital refuge for birds of prey, hares, and a very rich microfauna. But the real added value can be seen in the adjacent vineyard: the forest naturally attracts pollinating insects and useful predators (such as ladybugs) that protect the vines. This natural harmony between forest and vineyard allows us to grow exceptional grapes, bringing to your glass a wine that is the pure and healthy expression of our territory.
Since 2022, we have voluntarily chosen to subject our company to rigorous controls, obtaining the SQNPI certification (National Quality System for Integrated Production). But what does this mean in practice for you who drink our wine?
It means that we practice "integrated defense". Instead of using phytosanitary products in a preventive or massive way, we intervene in the vineyard only when strictly necessary and with very strict limitations. It is a more tiring and careful way of working, but it is the only one that allows us to guarantee "Sustainable Quality": a wine that is safe for your health, authentic in taste, and produced in total respect for the environment that surrounds us.
Since 2011, our winery has been supported by an important ground-mounted photovoltaic system (almost 100 kWp), but we did not stop at installing panels to produce clean energy: we did it our way.
We chose support structures that do not require invasive anchoring, totally preserving the integrity and naturalness of the soil. And in order not to break the balance of the ecosystem, we kept the entire fence raised 30 cm from the ground. In this way, hares, hedgehogs, and all the wildlife can continue to move freely through our estate.
